O GP Modos de Ver – Estudos das salas de cinema, exibição e audiências cinematográficas foi criado em 2016 a partir de uma parceria entre a Escola Superior de Propaganda e Marketing (ESPM) e o Departamento de Cinema e Vídeo da Universidade Federal Fluminense (UFF). O objetivo do grupo é discutir pesquisas que trabalhem com aspectos ligados às práticas de ida ao cinema, histórias, memória, tecnologias e ar dos locais de exibição (sala de cinema e outros espaços alternativos).

 

The Ways of Seeing – Cinemas, Exhibition and Audiences Research Group was created in 2016 through a partnership between the Escola Superior de Propaganda & Marketing (ESPM) and the Cinema Department of the Federal Fluminense University (UFF), within the National Counsel of Technological and Scientific Development of Brazil (CNPq). We aim to investigate subjects related to the histories of movie theatres and its audiences in Brazil, with special regard to topics such as cinemagoing experiences, history of cinema exhibition, cinemagoers’ memories, image projection and sound technologies, cinema habits and shapes of reception, alternative forms of cinema exhibition, among others.
